Heading north to Maryland just outside our nation's capitol this weekend for the 7th annual Gaithersburg Book Festival! A huge outdoor event with tents, balloons, food, and plenty of kids running around, the Festival attracts tons of great authors from the neighboring states.

I'll be doing a panel on Middle Grade Adventure Books with Katy Kelly, author of the "Lucy Rose" and "Melonhead" series, and we'll be talking about how we get our ideas and tips for aspiring writers, as well as doing a short reading from our respective books. Come on out (even if it's STILL raining) and we'll see you there!
